“Dad’s Club Inc. Presents the 8th Annual Father Daughter Dinner Dance, all ages welcomed”

 

Leaving a Legacy

For many years, statistics have shown the important role a father plays in the raising of their children, particularly with daughters; fathers play an integral role in shaping not only their lives, but the lives of so many others. Have you ever asked the question, who chooses the future fathers of tomorrow? On September 10, 2016, Dad’s Club Inc. will answer that question and many more. Dad’s Club Inc. a subsidiary of The Community Business Network Inc. a non-profit organization chaired by Aaron Sanders of Key Financial was created to engage and empower the relationship between a father or father figures and their children, DCI will host their 8th Annual Father Daughter Dinner Dance on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 6pm-10pm, with this year’s theme entitled, "Leaving a Legacy". The event will be held at Detroit's African American Cultural Centerpiece, The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.

As it has been for the past 7 years, fathers and father figures along with their daughters of all ages will join together for a magical evening of dinner, dancing and lots of fun that will transform into memories that will last a lifetime. Since its inception, Dad’s Club Inc. has maintained its mission to ensure that fathers understand the importance of using this evening of elegance to "provide their daughter's with certain expectations of how they should be treated by young men in social settings", states Joseph Coleman one of the original co-founders of the organization who now resides and chairs a dad’s club organization in Charlotte N.C.

After executing this event over the years and impacting the relationships of thousands of fathers and daughters since its inception, this year’s theme speaks to the lasting impact that "one night, one dance and one memory" can leave on a young lady’s life for many years to come. The cost of the event is $40.00 per person and includes an elegant dining experience prepared by Jackson’s Five Star catering, a dedication ceremony featuring the Guidepost to daughters which was penned seven years ago by Khary Turner and has been a part of every event along with a night full of dancing, special invited guest and plenty of exciting surprises.

 

William and Dana Hamblin of Expedite Express will be sponsoring several area families who at this time are not financially able to attend as they have in past. Multi-Talented Crystal P. will be hosting the event for the 3rd year with music being provided by D. J. Larry Boog Phillips. Vendors Shop and Smile and Daddy’s Touch will have items available for purchase and we are excited to announce the participation of Jessica Daniels from the Karmanos Cancer Institute of Education, Patient & Community Education program, Ms. Daniels will be sharing informational items to help bring preventive awareness to men and women’s health issues.’

BUF of Michigan and Dads Club Inc. announces the 3rd Annual Mother and Son Dinner Dance, Saturday March 26, 2016

Detroit, MI – On Saturday March 26, 2015 BUF of Michigan in partnership with Dads Club, Inc. will host the 3rd Annual Mother and Son Dinner Dance 6:00pm-10:00pm at the PI Banquet Center 28847 Franklin Rd Southfield MI, this event is open to mothers and sons of all ages. 

 

 In the past this event has hosted more than 400 mothers and sons to an evening of elegance that includes dinner, dancing, prizes and lots of fun but most of all quality time together. This year’s event will continue with the same tradition. BUF and Dads Club, Inc. recognizes the significant relationship between mothers and sons and created this opportunity for mothers to increase or establish the bond that they have.

 

This fun filled evening will include dinner, dancing and live entertainment and will be hosted by multi-talented Comedienne, actress, singer, flutist and model Crystal P, the keynote address will be delivered by writer Gwen Thomas a Marketing Communications guru, Talent Agent, Event Planner, Speaker and Facilitator.  BUF and Dad’s Club Inc. also will be working with various sponsors to afford the opportunity for mothers and sons within the Metropolitan Detroit area, who may not have the necessary means to attend the dance as our guest.

 

A portion of the proceeds will support underserved families in our community also.

Dads Club Inc. announces the 2nd Annual Mother and Son Dinner Dance, Saturday October 25, 2014

 

Detroit, MI – On Saturday October 25, 2014 Dads Club, Inc. will host its 2nd Annual Mother and Son Dinner Dance at 6:00pm-10:00pm at the PI Banquet Center in Southfield, MI  This event is open to mothers and sons of all ages.

Dad’s Club Inc. Presents The 6th Annual Father Daughter Dinner Dance

 

 

 Detroit, MI, April 1, 2014—The Detroit Chapter of Dads Club, Inc. will host the 6th Annual Father Daughter Dinner Dance on May 31, 2014 from 6:00pm – 10:00pm @The PI Banquet Center in Southfield, Michigan. This is also the 2nd Annual National Father Daughter Dance where there will be Father Daughter Dance’s taking place on the same day in New York, NY Charlotte, N.C., Philadelphia, PA, Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL, Washington, D.C., Miami, FL, and Norfolk, VA     

                                                                                                                                      

Dads Club, Inc. recognizes the significant relationship between fathers and daughters and created this opportunity seven years ago for dads to connect with their daughters, and establish a level of expectation for social interactions. “It is the responsibility of the men in our communities to help fill the void of those who are absent,” said William Hamlin, cofounder of Detroit Dad’s Club. “Our children need to know they are not alone.”

 

 Dad’s Club Inc. has partnered in the past with the Detroit International Academy for Young Women, Sigma Gamma Rho sorority, and Aaron Sanders of Key Financial, to offer these young ladies of various ages and backgrounds who may not have a father or father figure present an opportunity to enjoy this evening also. We plan on continuing these relationships. State Farm Insurance, Henry Ford Health System and Jorgensen Ford has also continued this year to provide the same level of support for this event that they have provided in the past.

 

Sponsors will be donating gowns, dresses, shoes, handbags as well as volunteering their services to pamper these ladies with free manicures, facials, hair makeovers and even limousine service to and from the dance.  Heavenly Chicken and Waffles and Expedite Express will also sponsored 10 young ladies and their escorts to attend the dance. Additional sponsors and donations are welcome. Live entertainment will also be provided by Detroit Jazz legend Duane Parham and hosted by hometown ComedienneCoco
